Train to tolerate what the ride demands.

Long-distance endurance bike rides are often uncomfortable and grueling. That should not come as a surprise. It is the nature of the challenge. The purpose of training rides is not to make the ride feel comfortable, but to prepare your body and mind to tolerate discomfort, manage fatigue, and keep going anyway.

We are all in training for what life will ask of us. If you do not train, you will be less resilient, less strong, and more fragile when life asks something hard of you.
