Riding the Driftless:

My Upcoming Bike Camping Adventure

During June, I’m setting out on a multi-day bike camping trip through one of the most breathtaking regions in the Midwest—the Root River and Harmony-Preston Valley Trails, nestled in the Driftless Area of southeastern Minnesota.

Why the Driftless? Because this land was untouched by glaciers, and it shows. Steep limestone bluffs, winding rivers, hidden valleys, and small towns full of character—it’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deep, and ride with intention.
